Burgh Bees Meet Up April 25th

As a new program, we are going to hold a beginning beekeepers discussion group starting at 6:30 PM. This will provide new beekeepers an opportunity to ask questions and hold discussions with a group of their peers. Enjoy a great pot luck supper, socialize with fellow beekeepers, and participate in an educational discussion topic. The mix of new and and experienced beekeepers offers many different perspectives. Bring a hot dish, salad, or dessert to share. Plates, utensils, and soft drinks are provided. No alcoholic beverages are allowed at this location. There is a large free parking lot at this facility with plenty of parking right outside the front door. Take the elevator or stairs to level A. Speaker: Bonnie Hall - Bonnie has been keeping bees for approximately 19 years and served as an Apiary Inspector since 1999. She especially enjoys meeting with and talking to beekeepers about honey bees and working with them to keep their bees healthy. Bonnie’s spare time is spent with family and enjoying nature. Fall Burgh Bees Membership Banquet

This years event will be at the American Serbian Club Pittsburgh near the South Side Works. Come join your fellow beekeepers for an evening of interesting conversation, great food, and fabulous prizes. The planning committee is in the process of selecting a caterer for the event so more information will be provided in future announcements. Time and Date: 6:30 PM on Friday, November 16th Cost: $10 per person for Burgh Bees Members There will be a cash bar. No alcoholic beverages may be brought in to the facility. Location: American Serbian Club 2524 Sarah St Pittsburgh PA 15203 Schedule: 6:30 - Doors open 7:00 - Dinner 8:00 - Membership Meeting and Officer Elections 8:30 - Raffle baskets Please consider donating an item to raffle. Follow the yellow balloons and turn right between stone pillars into the driveway and then down the hill to the barn. Please bring a hot dish, salad, or desert to share. Soft drinks, cups, plates, utensils, and napkins will be provided. For new and veteran beekeepers.  Meet and talk bees with local beekeepers. Discussion Topic: Informal Q&A. Bring samples of what is blooming near you for expert identification. Even if you know what it, some of us won't.
