For the past two beekeeping seasons, the presence of the Spotted Lanternfly (Lycorma delicatula) has rapidly increased in the greater Pittsburgh area, affecting our local beekeeping community in a number of ways. Join Burgh Bees Director and Certified Master Beekeeper Christina Neumann at Hop Farm in Lawrenceville, for an open discussion on SLF’s impact, from both horticultural and apicultural perspectives. At the event, we’ll be organizing a honey swap, so we can begin to compare tasting notes for this unique new honey profile in our region.
